The 4C's and social media

With everyone setting up their social media sites for their home based business, our community centre has also been inspired to develop a social media profile as well. Several staff members joined in on a great Webinar with Lance Scoular on the 16th April, where he presented an overview of the most popular social media sites – LinkedIn, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook and how our organisation might best use them.

For most of us it was our first Webinar experience, so we were a bit nervous, but pleasantly surprised how easy it was to connect online. We look forward to learning more about how to set up a Facebook page and Twitter account to advertise our activities more widely. I’m hoping to attend Lance’s class on setting up a Facebook Page, so will catch up with most of you then!

  2. I think it's great for community services to get on the social media scene. For us stay-at-home mums, it's hard to keep in contact with the 'outside' world - it's difficult enough to drag kids along just to get the grocery done! It would be wonderful if we can learn about what services are on offer through Facebook or Twitter. I particularly like Facebook as that's the social media I use to keep connected with my friends and families :)

  3. The best home based businesses for woman and stay at home mothers. It is really not that hard to setup a home based business, in other words you don't need a lot of capital, special training or resources to pursue a business of this kind. In today's world a lot of women are choosing to have a equal balance between family and their career.
